FINAL PAGES

I started redoing the pages so they look exactly like what I saw in my head. I'm glad I'm taking time on each one - it's really paying off! I will Correct the text in time - but for now, just the pictures.

On the first page (top of photo) Fumio asked me to turn Ben's head so we engaging more with Charlie

He said that the space between these two characters needed to be smaller so I did that, and also got rid of the speech bubble, that was said to be irrelevant and unnecessary. So I kept the two images but made them two separate pages.

I made their mum's head less huge and made the hug more natural between them, as well as altering the perspective on the stairs, so it looks more real. I will photoshop the family portrait into the picture frames.

Fumio told me to switch the composition, so the text on each page was relevant to the characters on that page - so where it said 'mum tries to make me play with him' - have her on the page under that. So I had to flip the whole composition, and instead of changing the room and starting again, I just did Charlie sat on the bed looking pessimistic.

This page took me about four hours to get right - and five pages scrapped. I had to get it just right, so the mum wasn't in the gutter, and neither was Charlie, but they were both close enough to each other to be interacting. Also Fumio asked to have Ben's head in the corner, watching them both.

Loving the shading on this page I made the perspective better in these pages and made the character's more rounded and consistent with the previous scenes. Also Fumio wanted Ben visible, watching charlie with a worried look on his face.
I made the mum look more like the other pages, but I kept the original drawing of Charlie, as I feel it really portrays the anger I wanted to be apparent.  Also, Fumio wanted a closer picture of Ben's face for the screaming scene, emphasising the emotion of fear, so I zoomed in and did him clutching the blanket in fear. I have shaded it and it does look much better now - however I'm not entirely happy with the mouth.....something's wrong with it and I can't decide what. I will ask one of the tutors.
